[Remote] Data Analyst II - Outcome Analytics

The Data Analyst II role focuses on analyzing data and generating reports to evaluate program performance for both internal and external clients, while also identifying trends and anomalies to support business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop distribution ready reports analyses and presentations on book of business as well as individual clients or departments. Work closely with Sales Team to meet client data reporting needs
- Create proactive analyses comparing our results to industry data to evaluate program performance for internal management and external clients
- Identify and research anomalies and outliers in data
- Conceive and execute new Anaplan solutions to support new business objectives and initiatives
- Assist or lead department projects or initiatives
- Prepare communication and makes presentations
- Perform ad hoc data trend analysis and reporting
- Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions
- Participates in high level business initiatives and assist with all levels of metric reporting
- Report Automation- work with IT to publish reports based on business needs/requests
- Performs the analysis exploring all appropriate options and performing constant validation against existing data/reporting throughout
- Serves as data steward to validate high profile or external data to ensure accurate reporting
- Monitor and perform trend analysis for the company and research report on anomalies
- Proactively manage report development meeting the expectations of format and delivery timeframe
- Develop optimal data management and reporting practices including best practice identification
- Client network usage analysis and missed opportunity/leakage analysis
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required in Economics Business Administration Finance or the equivalent combination of education training and work experience
- Knowledge of OCCM' products and services
- Beginner to Intermediate to SQL querying skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Typically requires experience in relational database structures research methods sampling techniques and system testing
- Proficient in working with large-scale business data sets fluent in scripting and rapid prototyping skills including expertise in SAS WEKA SPSS as well as C/C++/SQL Perl or Java
- Excellent written and oral communication skills especially in conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and provide validation of results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify appropriate analytical approaches depending on the business need
- Business Objects/Business Intelligence experience desirable
