[Remote] Service Technician / Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. YER USA is a globally recognized manufacturer of high-precision CNC machining solutions. They are seeking motivated and technically skilled Service Technicians / Service Engineers to support customers across North America, ensuring optimal machine availability and high customer satisfaction through installation support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of advanced CNC machine tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Weingärtner CNC machine tools at customer sites
- Ensure reliable machine operation and support customers in the proper use, maintenance, and optimization of equipment
- Respond to service calls, evaluate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Support installations, final acceptance processes, preventative maintenance, repairs, and machine upgrades
- Work closely with customers, headquarters, service managers, and technical sales teams to ensure strong after-sales support
- Prepare service reports, visit documentation, technical feedback, and recommendations for improvements or spare parts
- Build and maintain reliable customer relationships through professional, solution-oriented field support
- Travel frequently throughout the U.S. and Canada, primarily during the workweek
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with CNC machine tools, precision machinery, measuring equipment, tooling, or related technical service work
- Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally including machine tools, precision components, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechatronics
- Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on CNC-controlled equipment
- Basic PLC/control knowledge required; programming experience is not required
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, mechanical drawings, and service procedures
- Independent, reliable, customer-oriented working style with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Willingness to travel approximately 80% across North America
- Experience with Siemens, NUM, or similar CNC control systems
- Technical education or training in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field
- Prior field service experience in machine tools, precision equipment, oil & gas machinery, plastics machinery, or other high-precision industrial applications
- Ability to combine hands-on technical work with customer support, documentation, and relationship management
