[Remote] Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Plixer delivers network traffic analysis and security analytics solutions that help IT and security teams gain deep visibility across their environments. The Sales Account Manager will manage customer accounts, drive software subscription renewals, and identify expansion opportunities while collaborating with various internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the renewal lifecycle for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and accurate quoting, forecasting, and closure
- Maintain a high renewal rate through proactive customer engagement and account health monitoring
- Partner with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to address risks and ensure successful outcomes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial discussions in assigned accounts
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (IT, security, and procurement contacts)
- Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities in existing accounts
- Accurately forecast and manage a pipeline of renewals and add-on opportunities using Salesforce
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales and renewal targets
- Coordinate with sales engineers and technical teams for product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts when needed
- Conduct regular account check-ins to ensure satisfaction and uncover potential needs
- Communicate product updates, licensing changes, and renewal timelines
- Ensure smooth handoffs between pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal phases
Skills
- 1-2 years of B2B software sales or renewals experience (preferably SaaS or security/networking software)
- Experience in account management, customer renewals, or inside sales
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and quoting systems
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and team-oriented
- Experience working with network performance monitoring, NetFlow, or cybersecurity technologies
- Knowledge of the software renewal cycle and common licensing models
- Exposure to MEDDIC or SPIN selling methodologies
