[Remote] Senior Marketing Communications Manager

Confidential Healthcare and Life Sciences Company is a leading organization in the laboratory services industry, seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Manager. This role involves developing and executing integrated communications strategies to strengthen brand awareness and enhance customer engagement while managing cross-functional initiatives and campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated marketing communications plans that build brand equity and drive demand
- Lead annual communication planning, including objectives, strategies, and KPIs aligned to business goals
- Identify and implement innovative, disruptive communication tactics across the customer journey
- Ensure consistent, compelling brand messaging across all internal and external touchpoints
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns including digital, social, email, web, PR, and events
- Create and manage product/program launch strategies that generate awareness and demand
- Partner with internal and external teams/agencies to deliver campaigns on time and within budget
- Actively participate in campaign execution, content development, and performance tracking
- Provide strategic communications counsel to leadership and cross-functional project teams
- Develop messaging frameworks and communication strategies that align and engage employees
- Support enterprise initiatives through change management communication planning and delivery
- Build strong relationships across the organization to influence outcomes and drive alignment
- Lead digital communications strategy, leveraging customer insights, personas, and data analytics
- Develop customer-centric experiences across digital channels to enhance engagement and conversion
- Manage digital platforms or teams responsible for website, email, and campaign technologies
- Define and track KPIs to measure performance and optimize marketing effectiveness
- Drive innovative approaches to marketing communications, leveraging new tools and emerging trends
- Analyze campaign performance to generate insights and continuously improve future initiatives
- Collaborate across functions to establish and share best practices
- Test and scale new ideas that differentiate the brand and improve outcomes
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture
- Provide clear goals, ongoing feedback, and development planning (e.g., performance reviews, 1:1s)
- Support team skill development in modern marketing and communications capabilities
- Encourage bold thinking, experimentation, and continuous learning
- Manage complex communication projects across multiple channels and stakeholders
- Align resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure delivery of high-impact initiatives
- Oversee agency and vendor relationships to ensure quality, efficiency, and brand alignment
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in marketing communications or related roles, preferably within the laboratory services, life sciences, healthcare, or diagnostics industry
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns for technical, scientific, or healthcare-focused audiences
- Experience managing teams and/or leading cross-functional initiatives
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with digital marketing technologies, analytics, and CRM platforms
- Experience working with agencies and managing external partners
- Demonstrated understanding of the laboratory services industry, including B2B marketing, regulated environments, and engaging healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or research customers
