[Remote] Senior Human Resources Specialist (Classification & Position Management)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Starks Industries is seeking Senior HR Specialists to support a federal client by providing classification and position management services. The role involves developing and evaluating position descriptions and offering advisory support to management.
Responsibilities
- Receive and review information provided by management to prepare position descriptions
- Develop and update position descriptions and evaluation statements, including OF-8, as applicable
- Conduct desk audits and supervisory interviews, as needed
- Evaluate position descriptions using OPM classification standards and methodology
- Determine appropriate titles, series, and grades based on classification guidance
- Prepare documentation to support classification determinations
- Provide technical classification assistance to supervisors and managers
- Advise managers on position management and job content options
- Review and evaluate existing position descriptions for accuracy and compliance
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of Federal Government experience in classification and position management
- Strong knowledge of OPM classification standards and methodology
- Experience preparing position descriptions and evaluation documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 Public Trust background investigation
