[Remote] Senior Engineer,Software (App) Engineering

The role involves creating specifications and designs for new products, building cloud-native applications, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance product usability.
Responsibilities
- Serve within Product Development team to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products
- Work closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in designs
- May solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements
- Build best-in-class, cloud-native and mobile applications that are reliable, scalable, secure and simple to use
- Write code that is optimized for high performance, high availability, and scalability
- Create and execute software development processes that meet product system requirements
- Complete documentation, support deployments and maintenance
- Perform testing and debugging of applications
- Support applications in production
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study
- 8 years of progressive experience in Software (App) Engineering or Software Engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Java and Python
- Agile software development process, including Scrum
- Spring and RESTful web services
- Test-driven development (TDD)
- Relational databases (including MSSQL) and at least one NoSQL databases
- OSGi, Camel, and Karaf
- Cucumber tests
- GIT, GitHub Actions, Confluence, and JIRA
- AWS including EKS, ALB, and ELB
- Kubernetes and Docker
- Messaging including AMQ or SNS
- Datadog
- Snowflake
