[Remote] Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Sud Recruiting is a prominent, fully integrated Healthcare organization undergoing a digital transformation to become a data driven and tech enabled Enterprise. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to improve care delivery and operational excellence by providing strategic guidance on data architecture and building data processing pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the Snowflake Enterprise Data Warehouse on AWS, providing strategic and technical guidance across data architecture, modeling, performance tuning, and governance to ensure robust and scalable solutions
- Collaborate with business partners and build enterprise grade data processing and transformation pipelines that enable teams across Data Science, Analytics, and Business Intelligence to apply machine learning, generate insights, and create interactive dashboards that address critical business challenges
- Design, implement, and automate ELT processes and data pipelines in Snowflake, building transformation workflows with dbt and Python to manage execution, dependencies, and scheduling
- Design and maintain automated CI/CD workflows for data engineering solutions, enabling seamless deployment, proactive monitoring, and robust version control aligned with industry best practices
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new data sources into the EDW, assessing technical feasibility and aligning with business objectives for optimal data delivery
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively recommending innovations to enhance and evolve data capabilities
Skills
- Bachelors or Masters required
- 5+ years of experience as a hands-on Data Engineer (ELT/ETL, data pipelines)
- Snowflake required, with a deep understanding of the platform and performance tuning
- Advanced SQL required
- Python required (transformation, automation, scripting)
- Hands-on dbt experience required
- AWS required (S3 and related data services)
- Experience with CI/CD and version control (Git) for data engineering workflows
- Strong data modeling experience (dimensional modeling, building enterprise data products)
- Healthcare experience required
- Dbt cloud preferred
- Experience with Matillion or similar ELT tooling a plus
