[Remote] Senior Business Development Manager

Colossus Search Group is conducting a confidential search for a high-growth, founder-led company in the defense and industrial technology sector. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing CRM systems, and pursuing government and defense contract opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy leveraging an existing customer base Implement and manage a CRM and supporting sales technology stack, integrated with existing operational systems
- Identify and pursue government and defense contract opportunities (SBIR, OTA, Program of Record, Sole-Source)
- Lead the transition from an inbound to an outbound sales model, including future hiring and management of an account management team
- Manage sales efforts across both government/defense and commercial enterprise channels
Skills
- 5–10+ years of private sector sales experience, with a demonstrated record of significant revenue generation
- Experience with direct revenue or P&L accountability
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales technology integration
- Working knowledge of government/defense contracting processes
- Military background preferred, particularly within special operations communities (AFSOC, Naval Special Warfare, Special Forces, Ranger Regiment, or similar)
