[Remote] Senior Account Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LHH is partnering with a well-established organization in the paint and coatings manufacturing sector to find a Senior Account Manager. This role focuses on driving new business growth and building long-term customer partnerships while managing an existing territory and expanding market share through strategic prospecting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the paint and coatings manufacturing sector
• Manage a designated territory, balancing new account acquisition with growth of existing customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including procurement, technical teams, and leadership
• Conduct regular client visits (travel up to 60%) to strengthen partnerships and drive revenue growth
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with territory goals
• Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and closing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure successful product delivery and customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and activity tracking within CRM tools

Skills

• 5+ years of sales experience within paint and coatings manufacturing
• Proven success in new business development and closing net-new accounts
• Strong understanding of the coatings, chemicals, or related manufacturing landscape
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, build pipeline, and convert opportunities into revenue
• Experience managing a sales territory and working autonomously in a remote environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Willingness and ability to travel 40–60%
• Experience selling raw materials, ingredients, or technical products into coatings manufacturers
• Existing relationships within the paint and coatings industry
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
