[Remote] Senior Account Executive - Public Sector

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving growth by expanding relationships within public sector accounts, identifying new opportunities, and managing complex sales cycles.
Responsibilities
- Drive alignment with clients across a portfolio of accounts around Teradata’s modern cloud and AI-driven data platform, supporting mission and operational objectives
- Develop and execute account plans across multiple accounts to drive territory growth and expand public sector engagement
- Build and expand relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT, procurement, and executive sponsors
- Manage pipeline development, opportunity progression, and forecasting across a portfolio to deliver against revenue targets
- Demonstrate understanding of customer mission priorities, data environments, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape
- Effectively communicate the value of Teradata solutions and articulate ROI in the context of public sector outcomes (efficiency, citizen services, compliance, etc.)
- Partner with internal teams and specialists to navigate procurement processes and advance opportunities through complex sales cycles
- Contribute to overall territory strategy and collaborate closely with senior account leaders and extended teams
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record of driving new business and expanding within public sector or regulated industry accounts
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience building relationships with mid-to-senior level stakeholders (Director / Sr. Director / VP / Government leadership)
- Understanding of AI, data, and analytics trends and their application in public sector environments
- Experience working with government, education, or other public sector organizations (federal, state, or local)
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes, compliance, and contracting vehicles
- Experience with analytics platforms or data-related technologies
- Familiarity with sales methodologies, tools, and processes
- Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to diverse stakeholder groups
- Master's Degree (optional/preferred)
