[Remote] Salesforce Net Zero Cloud Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LTM is a company focused on sustainability solutions, and they are seeking a Salesforce Net Zero Cloud Consultant. The role involves managing annual carbon accounting, supporting data processing, and enhancing Salesforce configurations to meet sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform annual emission factor updates aligned with the latest datasets (e.g., EPA, DEFRA, IEA, eGRID)
- Execute annual inventory updates across all relevant scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3)
- Create and maintain annual waste and water footprint records (currently a manual process)
- Load and validate annual datasets, including waste data, Scope 3 datasets, and legacy fuel and energy datasets
- Ensure accurate association of activity records to environmental footprints, including water footprint association
- Support and execute manual uploads for activity data when automated feeds are unavailable
- Perform carbon accounting QC checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment to business requirements
- Maintain and enhance custom flows and business logic, including:
- Prorating solution - calendarizing utility data to provide monthly trend reporting capabilities
- Refrigerant estimation - estimates the amount of refrigerants lost during a given period
- Mileage estimation - estimates distance for vehicle energy usage records each month
- Cost-to-fuel consumption transformation logic - calculates consumption of legacy fuels by converting amount spent and averages prices by fuel type
- Carbon allocation for stationary assets - assigns emissions scope (Scope 1, 2 or 3) for each stationary asset
- ARC geography mapping - determines division and region for each stationary asset by zip code
- Fuel type-to-asset mapping for both vehicle and stationary asset classes – determines fuel type of each vehicle or building asset energy use records
- Renewable energy processing logic - ensures that renewable energy emission factors are applied to the right stationary assets during the correct time period; also apply RECs to annual emissions
- Deliver Production bug fixes, including troubleshooting data issues, flow failures, configuration errors, or calculation anomalies
- Manage software update rollouts (2× per year) for both NZC and Marketing Cloud
- Support CRMA dashboards, including enhancements, fixes, and dataset refresh troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose issues related to Salesforce platform updates, NZC-specific updates, or API/flow failures
- Provide ongoing support for programs and outcomes tracking within NZC (e.g., decarbonization programs, renewable energy programs, water stewardship programs)
- Translate business needs into NZC configuration, data requirements, reporting, and workflow support
- Perform user account provisioning for all sustainability-related applications, including Net Zero Cloud and connected Salesforce environments
- Maintain permissions, roles, and security configurations aligned with internal governance
- Maintain documentation for: data schemas, custom flows, calculations and emission factor sources, annual update processes, change management procedures
- Follow internal governance and release management practices
- Perform QC on all uploaded datasets
- Validate emission calculations after system updates or factor uploads
- Work closely with Sustainability, Supply Management, Finance, and IT teams
- Communicate system updates, breaking changes, and downtime proactively
- Participate in audit support as required
- Ensure that NZC configurations align with IT data security policies
- Support compliance needs for ESG reporting frameworks as required
Skills
- 10 - 15 Years of experience
- Strong experience with Salesforce configuration, including: Flows and automation, Data imports (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard), Permission sets and roles, Custom objects and fields, CRMA dashboards and data recipes
- Marketing Cloud data extension support
- Working knowledge of corporate carbon accounting, including GHG Protocol standards
- Understanding of: Emission factors and units, Activity-to-emissions calculations, Scope 1, 2, and 3 categories, Waste, water, and renewable energy reporting
- Ability to understand business-specific decarbonization goals and translate them into data structures or reports
- Must be available during standard Eastern Time business hours
- Maintain documentation for: data schemas, custom flows, calculations and emission factor sources, annual update processes, change management procedures
- Follow internal governance and release management practices
- Perform QC on all uploaded datasets
- Validate emission calculations after system updates or factor uploads
- Work closely with Sustainability, Supply Management, Finance, and IT teams
- Communicate system updates, breaking changes, and downtime proactively
- Participate in audit support as required
- Ensure that NZC configurations align with IT data security policies
- Support compliance needs for ESG reporting frameworks as required
- Ability to flex at least 1–2 hours for cross functional meetings when necessary
