Remote Sales Engineer - Global Automotive Plastic Film Manufacturer (#36148)
An international printing/industrial decorative film company is currently searching for a Remote Sales Engineer to join their company. The ideal candidate has 5 years of technical sales experience with automotive industry or/and printing/chemical/film product. This is a full-time, direct hire position. Remote Responsibilities: Remote Sales Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers, suppliers, and our Japan headquarters, delivering solutions to prevent manufacturing issues.
- Develop and optimize processing conditions for decorative film products through regular quality reviews with customers.
- Provide technical guidance to new customers by introducing manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools.
- Support market expansion by developing marketing strategies and building relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to monitor trends.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues through timely visits to manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate with Sales to conduct visits to customers’ design studios.
- Promote product lines beyond decorative films within the automotive industry.
- Travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Remote Sales Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Material Science, Chemical field preferred
- At least 5 years of sales management or technical sales experience
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Hunter mentality with ability to research and generate new sales leads and opportunities
- Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and good organizational skills
- Ability to travel to customer’s site as needed
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- This position includes manufacturing and office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
