The role involves evaluating AI-assisted legal reasoning, verifying legal claims, and providing structured feedback on legal content.
Responsibilities
- Review and refine AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and usefulness
- Evaluate legal reasoning across a range of practice areas and issue types
- Identify unsupported conclusions, incomplete analysis, unclear explanations, or incorrect legal reasoning
- Assess whether legal responses are written in clear, practical, and professionally appropriate language
- Verify legal claims against primary authority, including statutes, regulations, cases, official guidance, and other authoritative legal sources
- Identify whether cited authorities support the stated legal conclusions
- Flag missing authority, weak support, outdated reasoning, or overbroad legal statements
- Provide concise explanations connecting legal conclusions to relevant authority
- Provide clear written feedback on legal analysis, reasoning quality, authority use, and drafting clarity
- Apply consistent legal judgment across multiple review assignments and practice-area contexts
- Follow detailed task instructions, evaluation rubrics, and project-specific quality standards accurately
- Collaborate through structured remote workflows designed to assess and improve legal reasoning outputs
Skills
- 3+ years of legal practice experience with client-facing, matter-facing, advisory, research, drafting, or analytical responsibilities
- Active U.S. bar license in good standing
- Strong ability to locate, evaluate, and cite primary legal authority
- Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to explain complex issues in clear, plain language
- Comfort researching outside a primary specialty when given structured review criteria
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify gaps in legal reasoning, authority, or factual assumptions
- Professional judgment, discretion, and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Generalist or multi-practice exposure is especially relevant
- JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school is required for attorney-level assignments
- Active U.S. bar admission in good standing is required for attorney-level review work
- Professional experience in litigation, transactional practice, regulatory work, corporate law, employment, commercial matters, real estate, intellectual property, privacy, compliance, financial services, healthcare, or other legal practice areas may support project fit
- Experience involving legal research, legal memoranda, contract analysis, legal drafting, advisory work, or legal content review is highly relevant
- Experience reviewing AI-generated legal content, legal research outputs, legal summaries, or legal drafting tools
- Broad exposure across multiple practice areas or comfort handling unfamiliar legal issues through structured research
- Experience with legal education, legal publishing, knowledge management, quality review, or attorney training
- Strong ability to identify unsupported claims, misleading legal statements, missing caveats, or unclear jurisdictional assumptions
- Familiarity with legal technology, legal operations, compliance workflows, or structured rubric-based evaluation
- Ability to produce concise, well-reasoned written feedback under project guidelines
