[Remote] Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Surt AI is building the future of intelligent fraud detection and compliance. The Project Manager will own the coordination and delivery of engineering and product work, ensuring that complex projects move forward smoothly while maintaining alignment across various teams.
Responsibilities
- Owning the health of your assigned products end-to-end, tracking open issues, coordinating resolution across teams, and ensuring each product is in a state that is ready to grow, scale, and be relied on by clients
- Running planning, refinement, and retrospectives across engineering squads, keeping work scoped, sequenced, and moving
- Tracking progress across multiple products and workstreams, flagging risks and dependencies early
- Connecting engineering, product, design, legal, and QA so decisions get made and work does not stall between teams
- Owning the logistics of release cycles, ensuring readiness across all involved parties before anything ships
- Maintaining and improving how the team works, including Jira workflows, documentation standards, sprint metrics, and delivery rituals
- Keeping leadership informed on progress, risks, and decisions without creating overhead for the people doing the work
Skills
- Proven experience managing software engineering delivery in a fast-moving environment: You know how to keep a team shipping without becoming a bottleneck yourself
- Strong organizational instincts: You think in dependencies, risks, and sequences, and you notice what is missing before someone else does
- Comfort working across technical and non-technical stakeholders: You do not need to write code, but you need to understand enough to have a meaningful conversation with engineers. Equally important is knowing what you do not know and when to pull in the Tech Lead or the team rather than making a call that is not yours to make. For deep technical and architectural questions, that support is there
- A bias toward clarity: You turn ambiguous situations into structured next steps, and you write things down so others do not have to ask
- Autonomy: You take ownership of a problem and drive it to resolution without waiting to be told how
- Familiarity with compliance or regulated environments is a plus, not a requirement
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and the opportunity to grow with the company
- Based in our Monterrey office, hybrid is possible for candidates already living in the region
