[Remote] Package Engineer - Mining & Metais

The role involves providing mechanical engineering support for mining and metals processing facilities, focusing on packaged and major mechanical equipment throughout various project phases.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical design criteria and engineering deliverables for mineral processing systems
- Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, material requisitions, and conduct technical bid evaluations
- Review vendor documentation for mineral processing equipment and resolve technical deviations
- Support cost optimization and value engineering during project execution
- Track key mechanical material quantities and support project controls
- Provide independent technical solutions to complex mineral processing equipment issues
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed institution
- 5-15 years of experience in engineering / consulting organization supporting mining and/or metals projects
- Strong experience in packaged equipment engineering, procurement support, and vendor coordination
- Typical Equipment Experience: Mining / Mineral Processing Equipment including Grinding and regrind mills, Cyclones and flotation cells, Thickeners, slurry systems, and slurry/solution pumps, Pressure filters and dewatering equipment, Lime slaking and flocculant system
- Typical Equipment Experience: Metals Processing Equipment (Steel & Aluminum) including Continuous casting machines and auxiliaries, Casting machines and material handling systems, Melting, holding, and metal treatment furnaces, Alumina refinery mechanical equipment, Balance of plant (BOP) equipment for steel plants
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located
