[Remote] Data Center Engineer - Water Program Projects

They are seeking a Data Center Engineer focused on the strategic planning, technical development, and design review of large-scale water and wastewater utility infrastructure for high-capacity data center projects.
Responsibilities
- Review and assist in the technical development of site due diligence and campus planning studies
- Develop water planning estimates
- Develop total cost of ownership calculations and determine optimal site buildout strategies
- Identify cost- and schedule-efficient methods for delivering water and wastewater utilities
- Support implementation of water policy approaches
- Review engineering calculations and hydraulic models
- Review utility agreements and provide technical recommendations
- Develop availability model inputs and internal requirement documentation (with oversight)
- Analyze utility usage data and present optimization recommendations to leadership
- Review design drawings for onsite and offsite water and wastewater infrastructure
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience, including 4+ years in planning, design, or construction of utility projects
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, telecom, architectural)
- Knowledge of large-scale, complex data center infrastructure
- Understanding of utility treatment and distribution systems
- Engineering background (Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical) with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities
- Experience planning utility capacity for large commercial or industrial projects
- Experience developing and reviewing treatment and distribution system designs (pump stations, pipelines, storage)
- Strong communication skills across drawings, presentations, and virtual collaboration
- Highly organized and able to manage shifting priorities to maintain project schedules
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with domestic and international utility-scale project planning
- Familiarity with statistical and availability analysis
