[Remote] Nuclear Energy Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Green Powered Technology (GPTech) is seeking a Nuclear Energy Consultant to provide technical and strategic subject matter expertise on civil nuclear projects and advanced nuclear technologies. The role involves supporting technical analysis tasks, engaging with clients, and contributing to business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support technical analysis tasks related to government efforts to support civil nuclear projects, such as assessing proposed project concepts, including evaluating the technical, economic, and environmental feasibility
- Engaging in client meetings relevant to assigned work scope
- Collecting and analyzing project and program information and entering & managing data in spreadsheets and models
- Developing targeted communications and detailed reports (white papers, fact sheets, research summaries, briefings, technical analyses, data analysis presentations) on recommended investments and decisions
- Staying current on industry developments in relevant technologies and business practices
- Providing project management support including coordination with GPTech Practice Area leads and Finance and Administration to fulfill corporate project management and contract management requirements
- Contributing to company growth and business development through creating and improving communications products and proposal sections and supporting business capture strategies
Skills
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to pass a background investigation
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Engineering, Economics, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the civil nuclear industry
- Deep familiarity with new technology developments and current geopolitical dynamics affecting global supply chains
- Professional writing and verbal skills
- Proficiency with software tools for research, analysis, reporting, communications, and collaboration
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or economic discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Familiarity with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state-level environmental permitting processes (e.g., CEQA)
- Knowledge of and experience with federal organizations, and federal policies and mandates
- Experience working with state or federal government programs, or with working on projects in developing countries
