[Remote] Instructional Designer – Product Training [210598]

Skill is an industry-leading global brand seeking an innovative Instructional Designer to enhance their product training and digital learning initiatives. The role focuses on creating engaging micro-learning modules and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective training for global product launches.

Responsibilities

• Rapid Module Production: Design and develop 1–2 short-form (10-minute) micro-learning modules per month specifically supporting upcoming product launches and technical line updates
• Content Elevation: Review, declutter, and revamp existing product training content, transforming dense installation and manufacturing instructions into clean, accessible, and interactive media
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with busy Product Managers, Category Experts, and Showroom Teams to conduct needs assessments and extract technical data
• Tech-Driven Content Scale: Utilize AI avatar video generation (Synthesia) and Articulate-native AI tools to accelerate content creation and localize training materials for a massive global audience
• Asset & Analytics Management: Maintain, audit, and clean the division’s SharePoint sites. Build tracking metrics and feedback forms using Microsoft Forms to monitor who is being assigned modules and analyze learner performance
• Event & Travel Support: Provide lightweight administrative and project support for customer events, executive trips, and calendar coordination as related to regional training programs

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or a related field
• Approximately 2+ years of dedicated experience creating e-learning content, ideally in a fast-paced product, consumer goods, or manufacturing environment
• Expertise in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and advanced PowerPoint
• Proficiency across Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Forms)
• Experience with or strong desire to learn modern visual tools like Canva and AI video/avatar generation software (e.g., Synthesia)
• A true self-starter who operates with a high sense of urgency, comfortably juggling multiple moving deadlines without sacrificing an eagle-eye attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable reaching out to diverse stakeholders and maintaining a highly collaborative, positive attitude
• A continual learner with an innate desire to build, track, manage, and eventually lead training workflows
