[Remote] Head of Recruiting (Mortgage Sales)

Confidential Jobs is a rapidly growing national mortgage lender seeking a Director of Mortgage Sales Recruiting to lead the strategic hiring of high-performing Mortgage Loan Officers. This role is critical in driving the company’s national growth by identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-producing loan officers who align with the company's culture and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic recruiting plan to attract experienced Mortgage Loan Officers nationwide
- Identify and recruit top-producing loan officers, branch managers, and mortgage sales teams through proactive sourcing and industry networking
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates using networking, cold outreach, referrals, social media, job boards, and industry events
- Conduct outreach, screening, and interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications, production history, and cultural fit
- Present the company’s value proposition, including compensation plans, operational support, technology platform, and growth opportunities
- Build long-term relationships with top mortgage professionals and maintain an active network of potential candidates
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing and outreach through offer negotiation and onboarding
- Partner with sales leadership to understand hiring needs, production goals, and regional expansion strategies
- Maintain accurate records of recruiting activity and candidate pipelines within the company’s ATS or CRM
- Maintain a strong understanding of the mortgage industry landscape, including competitor platforms, compensation trends, and market opportunities
- Provide leadership with insights on recruiting trends, competitor hiring activity, and potential growth markets
- Track recruiting metrics including candidate pipeline activity, placements, and time-to-hire
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on recruiting progress and hiring outcomes
Skills
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within mortgage lending or financial services
- Proven success recruiting Mortgage Loan Officers, branch managers, or commission-based sales professionals
- Strong understanding of the mortgage origination process and loan officer production environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and recruitment tools
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple recruiting searches simultaneously
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a performance-based environment
- Established network within the mortgage lending and real estate finance community
- Experience recruiting for national or multi-state mortgage platforms
- Familiarity with mortgage licensing requirements, compliance, and secondary market structures
- Background working in high-growth sales organizations
