[Remote] Head of Marketing

The role of Head of Marketing is a newly created leadership position aimed at building and scaling the marketing function for a fast-growing SaaS platform serving landlords and property managers.
Responsibilities
- Own the marketing team's structure, evaluating current roles and reporting lines and rebuilding them to support growth
- Lead recruiting, hiring, and onboarding across direct hires, contractors, and agencies to close capability gaps
- Drive day-to-day execution across the marketing team, measuring output against clear goals for every role
- Build systems, rituals, and processes that increase velocity and accountability without adding bureaucracy
- Establish project management rhythms that keep the team focused on high-leverage, measurable work
- Champion AI-forward ways of working, both to increase team efficiency and to strengthen go-to-market performance
- Partner closely with the VP of Marketing, and with sales and product leadership, to align messaging, roadmap, and go-to-market execution
- Translate business KPIs, including subscriber growth, revenue, CAC, LTV, and conversion, into clear team priorities
- Communicate regularly with executive leadership on marketing structure, output, and progress
- Instill a build-measure-learn culture that supports fast, independent execution across the team
Skills
- Experience scaling marketing within a PLG SMB SaaS company through a comparable growth stage, from roughly $20M to $100M ARR
- Experience managing and restructuring an existing marketing team of 10 or more people, including redesigning reporting lines and right-sizing roles
- A track record of hiring, developing, and holding marketing talent accountable for measurable output
- Deep experience in marketing org design, including evaluating an inherited team's strengths and gaps and rebuilding structure without defaulting to headcount growth
- Hands-on experience managing delivery and execution for a high-velocity marketing team
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience aligning marketing with sales, product, and executive leadership
- Comfort using AI tools to improve team efficiency is a plus
- Experience in go-to-market performance channels such as AEO or GEO is a plus
