[Remote] Freelance Media Planner
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ways & Means SF is a women-owned media agency based in San Francisco and Portland. They are seeking a Freelance Media Planner to develop and execute cross-channel media plans, focusing on brand awareness goals while collaborating with the W&M team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with media plan development, including drafting and issuing RFPs, vetting vendor proposals, and contributing to media decks/presentations/flowcharts for clients
- Maintain vendor relationships; lead calls / Q&A with vendors as relevant
- Create and maintain cross-channel creative spec sheets and deliverable trackers
- Upload and traffic digital campaigns
- Compile screenshot decks and reporting data
- Perform campaign analysis and optimization, recommending strategic and tactical changes to maximize performance
- Manage media invoicing and solve discrepancies
- Research, compile, and analyze competitive and target audience data using MediaRadar, MRI-Simmons, Magellan, and other tools
Skills
- 3+ years media planning/buying (Assistant Media Planner / Media Planner level)
- Planning multiple channels, including digital, audio, video, and/or out-of-home
- Drafting, issuing, and evaluating RFPs
- Using Campaign Manager 360 for trafficking digital campaigns
- Analyzing digital media performance
- Self-motivated, excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong quantitative skills
- Comfort with Google Sheets, Docs, Slides
- Strict attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
- Experience with B2B clients (including technology brands)
- 15-20 hours/week preferred (can be flexible)
