Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. A New Beginning-Genesis 2 is seeking an FPGA Electrical Engineer with experience in the defense industry. The role involves leading the development of complex electronics hardware and subassemblies, requiring expertise in both analog and digital circuit design.
Responsibilities
- Leads Electrical Engineering development efforts employing EVMS as a Control Account Manager to deliver complex electrical designs while meeting or exceeding program cost and schedule requirements, required for Level 5; preferred for Level 4
- Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic circuit cards, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance seabed hydrophone systems
- Creates Analog and Digital designs of circuit cards including layout using industry standard tools such as LTSpice, Cadence, Mentor Graphics and Vivado
- Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints and
- Responsible for providing input to program bids and generating bases of estimate
- Performs qualification and test of electrical hardware and systems including the support of customer site installations and troubleshooting. Travel to customer installation sites required
- Able to identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and or sustainability

Skills

- Defense industry experience is required
- FPGA design experience
- Creates Analog and Digital designs of circuit cards including layout using industry standard tools
- Experienced in Creating Analog and Digital designs of circuit cards including layout using industry standard tools such as LTSpice, Cadence, Mentor Graphics and Vivado
- Prior experience with EVMS Earned value management system & project management required for Level 5; preferred for Level 4
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at the DOD Secret level
- Advanced knowledge and skill in analog, power and FPGA design required
- Level 5: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 9 years of prior relevant technical experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Level 4: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 6 years of prior relevant technical experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

- Proficiency in EVMS, Control Account Management and design team leadership required for Level 5; preferred for Level 4
