[Remote] Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst role involves preparing budgets and forecasts, conducting variance analysis, and collaborating with teams to provide financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
• Performing variance analysis and identifying key drivers of performance, risks, and opportunities
• Conducting ROI analysis of special projects and initiatives and providing strategic guidance to senior management
• Performing operational and statistical analysis of company operations and customer behavior using various tools and systems
• Developing and maintaining financial models, dashboards, and reports to support decision making and business planning
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide financial support and insights
• Researching and benchmarking industry trends and best practices
• Explore and apply AI tools in your day-to-day work, finding new ways to simplify tasks, accelerate outcomes, and elevate your effectiveness
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• At least 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting, preferably in SaaS or the hospitality industry
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• A passion for learning and continuous improvement
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
• Communication and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts
• Critical thinking
• Ability to manage risk
• A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity preferred
