[Remote] Executive Director Marketing

SoTalent is representing a global biopharmaceutical innovator dedicated to life-changing therapies in the Rare Disease and Neuroscience space, seeking a visionary Executive Director of Marketing. This high-impact leadership role focuses on driving the commercial success of a flagship Epilepsy and Movement Disorders portfolio by owning the end-to-end strategic roadmap and integrating various strategies into a cohesive marketing engine.
Responsibilities
- Lead the 3-year strategic blueprint and annual operating plans for the epilepsy portfolio, ensuring alignment with global corporate goals
- Oversee the market preparation and rollout of new formulations while driving patient growth within adult indications
- Own the P&L for the franchise, including resource allocation, ROI optimization, and complex investment trade-offs
- Direct sophisticated marketing execution across digital and traditional channels, targeting healthcare providers, caregivers, and patient advocacy groups
- Serve as the primary commercial voice in executive forums, collaborating with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, and Supply Chain
- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing organization, fostering a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and patient-centricity
Skills
- At least 12+ years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a substantial portion spent in US-based marketing leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-budget product launches and innovate through complex lifecycle management phases
- Strong financial literacy with experience in forecasting, P&L management, and navigating enterprise-level trade-offs
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proven success in Neurology, Epilepsy, or the Rare/Specialty disease space is highly preferred
- An MBA or advanced clinical degree is strongly preferred
