[Remote] Epic Lumens Analyst - IT Applications
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HonorHealth is one of Arizona’s largest nonprofit healthcare systems, dedicated to caring for the health and well-being of people and communities. The IT Applications Analyst role involves the development, deployment, and support of enterprise application software necessary for running clinical and business systems in a large integrated health system.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of Leadership, the IT Applications Analyst is responsible to empower our community through the continuous development, deployment, and support of vendor proprietary enterprise application software
- The Application Analyst supports software that is necessary to run clinical, financial, or business systems within a large integrated health system
- This position works on the analysis of existing and proposed vendor supplied software functionality to determine if the software conforms to current health system workflow processes
- The Application Analyst is a high performing individual who collaborates with business operations to understand and define system requirements to develop innovative solutions meeting the customers' needs
- The Application Analyst is responsible to understand and conform to HonorHealth's project and change management methodologies and may be responsible for leading low to moderate complexity projects leveraging this framework
- In addition, this position requires an on-call rotation facilitating off hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment
- Ability to troubleshoot low to moderate complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management and leadership
- Contributes to technical and workflow root cause analysis
- Analyze business operations as they relate to design decisions and prioritize and implement requested changes to the system
- On an as needed basis, performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of integrated applications with minimal assistance
- Design, Test, Implement and support files/systems within assigned products and scope with minimal supervision
- Populates tables and databases, for a domain with multiple owners, with some assistance from Vendor and Information Technology staff
- Collaborates in an integrated approach to eliminate the potential for a negative impact to our customers and patients
- Responsible for maintaining set standards of application system build and database maintenance
- Including updates to master files, profiles, dictionaries, and other databases
- Assists with recommendations for standardized naming, numbering and security conventions
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method
- Develops effective working relationships across HonorHealth and with vendor applications support personnel
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage individual workload with minimal assistance
- Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs
- Must be willing and able to travel to any/all HonorHealth and affiliated sites
- Assists with the change management, project management, and documentation policies and standards, established by the Information Technology Department and Project Management Office for maintenance, requests and new initiatives
- May lead low to moderate complexity projects as assigned
- Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives
- Understands and follows established change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes
- Performs other duties as assigned

Skills
- Associates or 2 years' work related experience Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field
- 3 years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems
- Certification for assigned application should be obtained within designated timeframe per policy
- Epic Lumens/OpTime certification
- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field
- 5 years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems
- Epic Certification - Certificate, Training and/or certification in assigned application. Certification or licensure for clinical, revenue cycle, or business unit that primary application supports. Epic certification as applicable for assigned team
