Halliwell Engineering Associates is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant or Industrial Hygienist to help lead and expand their presence throughout Texas and surrounding markets. The role involves leading complex investigations related to environmental exposures and contamination while collaborating with various professionals to influence business, legal, and regulatory decisions.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of scientific data, environmental assessments, exposure evaluations, and technical reports Investigate contamination sources involving buildings, consumer products, food products, occupational environments, and biological hazards Evaluate environmental and occupational health risks in residential, commercial, and industrial settings Perform environmental and safety compliance assessments in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards Prepare clear, defensible, and scientifically supported technical reports and findings Support litigation matters and expert witness engagements through technical analysis and documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and quality control across projects Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients navigating complex environmental and health-related issues Skills Demonstrated experience in environmental health, industrial hygiene, contamination investigation, risk assessment, and technical report review Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific information clearly and effectively State-specific licensing such as Mold Assessment Consultant (MAC), Asbestos Consultant, or the ability to obtain licenses within six (6) months of employment Willingness to travel approximately 25–50% initially, with travel expected to decrease Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation Master's or Doctoral degree in industrial hygiene, toxicology, environmental science, public health, or a related discipline Experience supporting litigation, claims consulting, or expert witness engagements Advanced expertise in contamination analysis, biological hazards, and environmental regulations Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits Paid holidays Paid vacation and sick time 401(k) plan with company match Life and disability benefits Bonuses Employee appreciation program Remote work opportunities Company Overview McLarens is an insurance service company that provides loss adjustment, claims, and risk management services.
