Lead Consultant - Smartsheet
About the Role
Archer Consulting Team is seeking a Lead Consultant to join our growing team in a role that sits at the intersection of technical expertise, client leadership, and business growth. This is a full-time, salaried position for an experienced Smartsheet practitioner who can lead complex client engagements, steward long-term client relationships, and drive adoption and expansion across a portfolio of accounts. You won’t just build solutions — you’ll be the person clients trust to understand their business, guide their Smartsheet strategy, and grow with them over time. This role carries real responsibility, real client impact, and real upside for those who deliver. What You’ll Do Consulting Delivery
- Lead client engagements from discovery through delivery — requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, and enablement
- Architect and configure enterprise-grade Smartsheet solutions across the full platform, including Control Center, Dynamic View, WorkApps, Data Shuttle, DataMesh, Bridge, Resource Management, and Brandfolder
- Develop solution documentation, technical specs, and client-facing training materials
- Mentor junior consultants on solution design, delivery standards, and client communication
Account Management & Growth
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts following initial engagement — serving as the primary point of contact and ongoing strategic advisor
- Steward each client relationship with a focus on long-term success, adoption, and value realization
- Monitor client usage, identify gaps or opportunities, and proactively recommend next steps
- Drive account expansion by recognizing where additional Smartsheet capabilities or Archer services can deliver value
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels — from end users to executive sponsors
- Participate in renewal conversations, scope expansions, and growth opportunities in collaboration with Archer leadership
Business Development
- Support Archer’s broader growth through assigned business development projects, including prospecting support, proposal contribution, community engagement, or partner-facing activities
- Represent Archer’s expertise and brand in client and prospect conversations
What We’re Looking For Required
- 4+ years of hands-on Smartsheet implementation experience, including enterprise-scale deployments
- Demonstrated experience with the premium app suite: Control Center, Dynamic View, WorkApps, Data Shuttle, DataMesh, Bridge, Resource Management, and Brandfolder
- Strong solution architecture instincts — you design what’s right for the client, not just what works
- Proven client-facing experience — you can run a meeting, manage a difficult conversation, and build genuine trust with stakeholders
- Smartsheet Core Product Certification (Solution Architect Certification preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive audiences
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and engagements concurrently without dropping the ball
Preferred
- Background in consulting, account management, customer success, or professional services
- Experience working at a Smartsheet Partner organization
- Familiarity with PMO, operations, or project management environments
- Exposure to Smartsheet API, connectors, or tools like Salesforce, Jira, or ServiceNow
- PMP or equivalent credential
- EST time zone, or ability to work EST hours
