[Remote] End User Account Manager, Utilities (Midwest Territory) Job Details | Apex Tool Group

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apex Tool Group, LLC is focused on expanding its presence in the electric utility and power transmission markets. The End User Account Manager will drive growth across the Midwest territory by developing relationships with utility companies and contractors, creating demand, and executing strategic account plans.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Apex Tool Group and its brands at industry events, including lineman rodeos, trade shows, and utility conferences, to promote awareness and generate qualified business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with utility companies, cooperatives, municipalities, large electrical contractors, and lineworker training centers to understand their operational needs and identify opportunities
  • Coordinate and manage tool sampling and evaluation programs to obtain work methods approvals and recommendations within target utilities
  • Collaborate with Apex Tool Group’s distributor partners with TSM’s to ensure product availability, competitive positioning, and successful sales execution
  • Provide technical product demonstrations and training for linemen, work methods teams, and distributor sales teams
  • Collect and communicate market intelligence, including customer feedback, competitive activity, and emerging trends within the power transmission and distribution sector
  • Lead and develop strategies to expand business opportunities for Power T&D tools and storage solutions
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product management, and sales operations, to align business development initiatives with corporate goals
  • Partner with TSM’s and ATG Distribution network to convert opportunities into sales

Skills

  • 3-5 years of progressive sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of success in relationship-based selling and managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes
  • Flexibility to travel up to 70% to customer sites, distributor locations, and industry events
  • BS/BA or university degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Experience within the Power Transmission & Distribution, Utility, or Industrial Tool markets preferred
