[Remote] Distributed Systems Engineer (L4) - Data Platform

The role involves building and innovating on data infrastructure, ensuring data movement and processing, and enhancing the developer experience for data practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Help evolve and innovate Netflix's data infrastructure
- Build secure, scalable, and high-leverage infrastructure abstractions
- Work on platforms that sit at the heart of Netflix's data ecosystem
- Build resilience and reliability tooling, including SLI/SLO enablement
- Provide a self-service, abstracted platform for data movement and processing needs
- Develop and maintain a high-performance, reliable, and efficient key-value store
- Enhance the experience of data practitioners by developing cutting-edge data tools and infrastructure
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
- Proficient in the design and development of RESTful web services
- Experienced in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
- Experienced in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Comfortable tackling multi-threading challenges
- BS in Computer Science or a related field
