[Remote] Director of Business Development - Private Equity

They are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive new business with private equity firms and hedge funds, generating awareness and closing deals for their AI offerings.
Responsibilities
- Generate awareness and demand for GAI Insights among private equity and hedge fund decision makers
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads
- Run cold outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Work with founders who have warm leads from Harvard and MIT networks
- Use reference selling to convert prospects into clients
- Close sales for AI research, AI fluency assessments, and training engagements
- Present to senior executives with clarity and confidence
- Partner with the research and delivery teams to match offerings to client needs
- Aggressively use Claude to refine and improve your personal workflows
- Track activity and forecast accurately in HubSpot
Skills
- 2 to 4 years of enterprise sales experience
- Strong executive presence
- Proven success with cold calling and reference selling
- High enthusiasm for AI and its impact on financial services
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-directed and comfortable owning a number
- Thrive in a dynamic, growing startup environment
- Based in New York City
- Experience selling to private equity or hedge funds
- Familiarity with ChatGPT or Claude and the enterprise AI market
