Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber Security Embedded Engineer to join their Program Protection Organization in Dallas, Texas. The role involves providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation for Department of Defense Weapon Systems, focusing on assessing threats, validating requirements, and developing security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and mitigating System Security threats/risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle
- Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation and analysis for embedded Weapon Systems
- Implementing System Security Engineering solutions hardware and software
- Verifying implementation of system security requirements
- Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining state of the art System Security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control products
- Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities and threats against System Security posture on product designs
- Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures that defend against cyber-attacks against Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Weapon System products
Skills
- Experience working within the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with embedded systems design, microcontroller programming, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Implementing System Security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirements
- Experience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems
- Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date in order to meet program requirements
- The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Experience in cybersecurity / Anti Tamper principles

- This position is incentive plan eligible
- Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
