[Remote] Director Of Business Development

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Big Moxi Games is LATAM’s premier game development talent network and co-development services company. They are seeking an experienced game industry business development leader to help build client pipelines and expand strategic relationships while overseeing the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities within the gaming ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of studios, publishers, IP holders, and platform holders in North America, Europe, and the UK
  • Lead outbound outreach to decision-makers across external development, production, studio leadership, publishing, partnerships, and operations
  • Secure introductory meetings, discovery calls, RFP invitations, co-development opportunities, and long-term service partnerships
  • Identify clients with near-term or upcoming needs for engineering, technical art, 3D assets, UI/UX, QA, production content, embedded talent, or co-development teams
  • Create and maintain target account lists segmented by studio, publisher, platform, IP holder, project type, region, and likely service need
  • Build relationships with external development directors, executive producers, heads of production, studio heads, discipline directors, publishing executives, and platform partnership teams
  • Clearly communicate Big Moxi’s position as a senior LATAM game development talent network and co-development partner
  • Present Big Moxi’s core advantages: experienced LATAM talent, focus on PC/console Unreal & tech, time-zone-friendly collaboration, English communication standards, flexible engagement models, account management, and QA-supported delivery
  • Help clients understand how Big Moxi can support one-off staffing needs, embedded pods, discipline teams, feature development, content production, or larger co-development scopes
  • Translate client needs into practical engagement models and service solutions
  • Represent Big Moxi professionally in meetings, conferences, networking events, digital outreach, and partner discussions
  • Work with Big Moxi leadership to qualify opportunities, define fit, and prioritize the highest-value prospects
  • Support the creation of proposals, capability decks, project scopes, staffing plans, and commercial structures
  • Help move opportunities from first contact through discovery, scoping, proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement
  • Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline reporting, meeting notes, next steps, and forecast updates
  • Track market signals, client needs, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in external development and co-development
  • Represent Big Moxi at major industry events such as GDC, Gamescom, XDS, Develop:Brighton, DICE, Devcom, PAX business meetings, and other relevant conferences
  • Build visibility for Big Moxi among external development communities, publisher networks, platform teams, and studio leadership groups
  • Help strengthen Big Moxi’s reputation as a trusted nearshore partner for serious PC/console production

Skills

  • 7+ years of business development, partnerships, sales, external development, publishing, production services, or client development experience in the game industry
  • A strong existing network across game studios, publishers, platform holders, IP holders, and external development decision-makers in the US, Canada, UK, and/or Europe
  • Direct experience selling, sourcing, managing, or negotiating co-development, outsourcing, work-for-hire, staff augmentation, embedded team, or game production services
  • Strong understanding of PC/console game development workflows, production cycles, discipline needs, and common external development use cases
  • Ability to speak credibly with studio heads, external development directors, executive producers, discipline leads, and publishing executives
  • Proven ability to generate leads, open doors, build trust, qualify opportunities, and convert relationships into commercial engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational discipline around CRM, pipeline management, follow-up, and forecasting
  • Ability to operate independently in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfort presenting to senior leadership and external partners, with clear written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent industry experience is beneficial
  • Passion for video games, familiarity with the global action game market, and understanding of current industry trends and platforms
  • Prior BD or partnerships experience at a co-development studio, external development provider, game services company, publisher, platform holder, or AA/AAA studio
  • Existing relationships with external development teams at major publishers, platform holders, and PC/console studios
  • Familiarity with technical art, engineering, 3D art, UI/UX, QA, content production, live content, DLC, porting, or platform support needs
  • Experience selling nearshore or offshore development services
  • Experience with LATAM game development talent, teams, or production partners
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine pipelines and modern PC/console production
  • Experience shaping SOWs, MSAs, pricing models, staffing plans, and project scopes
  • Additional language skills, especially Spanish or Portuguese, are welcome but not required
