[Remote] Director, Experience (Product Management)

Ciklum is a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. They are seeking a Director, Experience in Product Management to lead large-scale digital transformations in the banking sector, leveraging expertise in financial services and modern technology execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead Transformation Initiatives: Own or drive the end-to-end delivery and product lifecycle for complex banking and Financial Services (FS) transformation initiatives
- Requirements & Roadmap Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, compliance/legal teams, and engineering squads to ensure seamless, high-quality deployment
- Payments & Fintech Innovation: Architect or define modern payment workflows (e.g., Real-Time Payments/RTP, FedNow, Interac, ISO 20022 standards, cross-border payments). Legacy payment gateway experience will be considered a plus
- Guide clients or internal teams through the nuances of modern core banking platforms, cloud-native FS architectures, and open banking API frameworks. Experience working to move from legacy to modern cloud or on prem technologies would be considered a plus
- Regulatory Navigation: Ensure all delivery and product discovery methodologies comply with strict US/Canadian regulatory standards (e.g., OCC, Fed, FinCEN, OSFI, FCAC)
- Supercharge Execution: Actively utilize and experiment with Generative AI and LLM tools to optimize traditional product/delivery artifacts (e.g., writing PRDs, drafting user stories, analyzing data, mapping process flows)
- Efficiency Champion: Look for opportunities to introduce AI-driven efficiencies into the delivery lifecycle to reduce overhead and accelerate project timelines
- Agile by Nature: Used to working with consultants/experience practitioners
Skills
- Must be legally authorized to work and based onshore in the United States
- Minimum of 5–8+ years of experience within Management Consulting, Fintechs, or Tier-1/2 Banking institutions
- Demonstrable experience leading or contributing significantly to large-scale banking transformation, migration, or greenfield build projects
- Deep understanding of Core Banking, Digital Banking, and/or Wealth Management ecosystems
- Strong grasp of Payments infrastructure (ACH, Wires, Card rails, Next-Gen/Real-Time payments)
- Comfortable operating within highly regulated environments, with a strong understanding of risk management, security, and compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in modern product/project management suites (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Linear, Miro)
- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or specialized PM/Dev AI extensions) to enhance your own daily output and delivery workflows
- Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills—capable of explaining complex tech to business leaders and complex business needs to engineers
- Sales/Pre-sales exposure and acumen is essential
