[Remote] Director, Commercial Finance
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ProPharma is a consulting firm that has been improving patient health and wellness for 25 years. The Director of Commercial Finance will oversee the development of service line proposals and manage the RFP workflow within the Commercial Finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the proposal process.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and contribute to developing ProPharma service line RFPs and proposals
- Manage and direct RFP workflow across the Commercial Finance team, allocating work to team members as appropriate
- Assist in developing and managing Request for Information (RFI) documents as requested
- Assist in developing and maintaining RFP and proposal budget tools
- Train other Commercial Finance team members in the preparation of RFP documents and other service line proposals for all ProPharma service lines
- Manage and update all proposal-related templates for ProPharma service lines
- In conjunction with Commercial Finance leadership, develop, collect, and monitor key performance indicator (KPI) metrics for Commercial Finance team
- Liaise with service line subject matter experts (SMEs) and key opinion leaders/consultants supporting RFP and proposal responses
- Support developing and maintaining RFP and RFI libraries for ProPharma corporate, service line, and technical experience/expertise collection
- Gather business intelligence on competitor proposal strategies
- Assist and perform final RFP and budget reviews for accuracy, grammar, completeness, and compliance with RFP requirements
- Work with department heads to develop, update, and implement internal RFP and proposal processes
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years' experience within a clinical research organization (CRO) proposals/contracts team or CRO environment, or a minimum of 10 years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical budget and/or contract experience
- Experience in supporting and writing RFP responses
- High degree of experience working in Excel-based budget tools
- 5 years' management experience
- Highly numerate with good Excel skills
- Proficiency in Word with excellent written English
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task within a matrix organization
- Good problem-solving skills
- Willing to take on new responsibilities as required
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing, and the ability to build visual presentations
- Excellent time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry; specific knowledge of industry trends in clinical development, functional service provider (FSP) outsourcing, regulatory affairs, and GMP/GCP/GLP compliance
- Master's preferred
