[Remote] DevOps Engineer, Flight Software
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Reliable Robotics Corporation is building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that will save lives. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to improve the developer experience for their flight software team by creating solutions that address workflow frustrations and enhance CI/CD processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify workflow frustrations and develop solutions that delight our developers
- Architect and scale reliable CI/CD pipelines via AWS/GitHub workflows to support automated, reproducible and observable testing
- Provision and manage AWS and on-premise computing resources using Terraform
- Bridge the gap between embedded flight software, simulation, test and IT infrastructure
- Support scaling of Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HITL) test infrastructure
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, release automation, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong hands-on experience scaling CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions / workflows preferred)
- Proven ability to manage and provision AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.) and Linux system administration
- Demonstrated success in taking ownership of CI/CD systems and maturing development processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Familiarity with the unique challenges of embedded systems, including cross-compilation and integration with physical devices / Hardware in the Loop (HITL) testbeds
- Experience supporting software teams writing in compiled languages like C++ or Rust
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and optimizing containers for efficient scaling
