[Remote] Data Scientist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BCforward is a professional services firm providing unique solutions for business and technology strategies. They are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a product team focused on building consumer products, utilizing data and statistical analysis to inform product strategy and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and key drivers of business performance
- Design, execute, and evaluate experiments, including A/B testing and other measurement methodologies
- Develop statistical models and analytical frameworks to support forecasting, optimization, and strategic planning
- Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for new and existing product initiatives
- Build dashboards, reports, and reproducible analyses to monitor product performance
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, influencing product and business decisions
- Ensure data quality, validate analytical outputs, and document methodologies
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for large-scale data analysis
- Solid foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, experimental design, and causal inference
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and other experimentation frameworks
- Experience building dashboards and communicating insights through clear data storytelling
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while managing multiple priorities
- Experience supporting new product development (0-to-1 product initiatives)
- Background in product analytics, experimentation, or decision science
- Experience with data pipelines, workflow automation, or ETL processes
- Prior experience working in a large technology company or product-focused organization is highly preferred
