[Remote] Data Consultant (HCM \/ Workday)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NextLink Group is seeking an experienced Data Consultant with strong Workday HCM expertise to support a large-scale HR and payroll transformation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for data integration, migration, validation, governance, and reconciliation activities, ensuring the successful delivery of Workday data solutions and seamless integration with downstream systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading across HCM, payroll, and workforce systems
- Ensure data transformations align with Workday data models and integration requirements
- Optimise SQL queries and ETL processes to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
- Maintain version-controlled ETL artefacts and documentation to ensure traceability and auditability
- Execute data loads into Workday and downstream applications, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Coordinate migration activities across HR, Payroll, IT, and third-party vendors
- Manage dependencies and alignment between upstream and downstream systems
- Support cutover planning and execution from a data migration perspective
- Develop and execute comprehensive data validation and reconciliation frameworks
- Perform pre- and post-load validation activities
Skills
- Strong Workday HCM expertise
- Experience in data integration, migration, validation, governance, and reconciliation activities
- Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and workforce data
- Hands-on experience in ETL development
- Experience in data quality management
- Experience in Workday implementation projects
