[Remote] Data & Automation Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. rater8 is the healthcare industry’s leading reputation management platform, and they are seeking a Data & Automation Analyst to join their analytics and innovation team. The role focuses on data analysis and building AI-powered automations to support marketing efforts, ensuring that insights are actionable and well-documented.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the team’s analytical check: stress-test findings, flag what does not hold up, and separate signal from noise so that only validated insights drive decisions
- Execute quantitative analysis of large datasets to uncover key market trends, customer behavior patterns, and competitive intelligence to drive business strategy for DataLabs
- Proactively mine rater8’s proprietary dataset to surface novel, defensible findings that go beyond the analyses other teams request, turning them into case studies, original reports, and thought leadership
- Validate and quality-check reports and analytical outputs before they ship, including our AI-assisted (RAD) reports, confirming the data and methodology hold up
- Write and enrich rater8’s database documentation so the dataset stays well understood, trusted, and reusable across teams
- Build and run our data-driven outreach engine: AI-powered, personalized email workflows that turn analysis like prospect Visibility Scores and patient sentiment into targeted campaigns, with marketing owning the design, copy, and positioning
- Implement and maintain API integrations (GPT, Azure OpenAI) within marketing automation tools to scale personalized outreach and reporting
- In partnership with the marketing team, translate data-driven insights into actionable marketing assets, contributing to calls-to-action (CTAs) and landing page content and coordinating with Web Development to maximize conversion rates
- Serve as a technical resource for other departments, assisting in the design, modeling, and implementation of general business process automation improvements, potentially involving non-DataLabs systems or workflows
- Assist in testing and validation of newly deployed solutions to ensure they meet both business needs and technical requirements across different teams
- Provide ongoing technical support and updates to documentation as projects evolve and systems change
- Enable and upskill other teams to build and own their own automations, focusing on teaching and handing off rather than permanently maintaining workflows for them
- Lead DataLabs projects from ideation through analytical testing and production deployment, ensuring alignment with measurable business impact
- Proactively engage with stakeholders across departments to identify high-impact opportunities, gather detailed requirements, and present findings, recommendations, and technical documentation
- Support overall project management activities by tracking project progress, risks, and issues, coordinating execution with measurable business impact
- Coordinate the production and delivery timeline for strategic content assets, such as whitepapers and reports, by liaising with data analysts, writers, and marketing teams to ensure data accuracy and timely publication
- Review, analyze, and model business processes and information flows. Develop process maps and flowcharts to represent current and future state workflows, particularly those leveraging AI/automation
- Design and develop production-ready process improvements, focusing on sustainability, scalability, and measurable reduction in business inefficiency
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, process maps, and data flow diagrams for all workflows and systems
- Other Duties as Assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Finance
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a role such as Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or Data Analyst, where aptitude and a self-starter mentality were key to success
- Proficiency in Python programming (comfortable writing scripts, working with APIs, and building backend systems) and working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Systems thinking mindset; you naturally see how data flows and how pieces connect to design workflows that span multiple tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a genuine curiosity about how data and AI can solve real business problems
- Healthy skepticism and strong judgment: able to pressure-test data, findings, and AI-generated output, and to confidently say when something does not hold up before it drives a decision
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain analysis simply to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams
- Experience with, or demonstrated willingness to quickly master, visual automation and integration platforms (e.g., Make.com, Zapier, n8n)
- Familiarity with basic marketing concepts, including conversion funnels, A/B testing, landing pages, and the purpose of strong Calls-to-Action (CTAs)
- Track record of quick mastery in new technical concepts and systems
