[Remote] Cyber Security Engineer II
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Computer Services, Inc. The Cyber Security Engineer II will design, implement, and maintain security systems to prevent malicious activity, responding to client requests and enhancing current security offerings.
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements projects/services that enhance and improve current security offerings and strategies
- Responds to internal and external client requests. Requests include but are not limited to firewall changes, DNS creation/modification, renewing/purchasing SSL certificates, and secure configuration of hosted sites and services
- Installs and configures firewalls, intrusion preventions systems, web application firewalls, and agents in accordance with current industry standards and best practices to create a secure environment and protect customer data
- Proactively mitigates threats through active collaboration with the Cybersecurity Analysts
- Performs recurring vulnerability mitigation by upgrading device software to a non-affected version, or modification to the current configuration to remediate vulnerabilities
- Completes continuing education requirements to maintain an appropriate understanding of the evolving security landscape
- Participates in after-hour on-call rotation
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Professional level position in described technology
- Three (3) year relevant experience preferred
- Advanced degrees or certifications recommended (e.g., CISSP, etc.)
