[Remote] Corporate Director of Finance

The Corporate Director of Finance is responsible for aligning financial strategies with business goals, overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing insights for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate objectives and brand strategies
- Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all financial matters
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Conduct detailed financial analyses, including variance analysis and profitability assessments
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) key controls
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including accurate filing of returns
- Manage risk by maintaining adequate insurance coverage and implementing robust internal controls
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, receivables, payables, payroll, and treasury functions
- Develop and enforce policies for credit and collections to maintain financial health
- Provide leadership to ensure purchasing, ordering, and delivery processes align with company standards
- Recruit, mentor, and manage finance and accounting teams across the organization
- Conduct performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and support professional growth
- Promote cross-training and succession planning to ensure business continuity
- Build strong relationships with property owners, asset managers, and other stakeholders
- Provide clear, actionable explanations for financial performance and variance analyses
- Represent the company in financial audits and negotiations with external parties
- Leverage financial and operational performance analysis to enhance profitability and cost efficiencies
- Utilize benchmarking and market analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
- Integrate financial systems and tools to streamline reporting and decision-making processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in the hospitality industry, including multi-property oversight and pre-opening experience
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Expertise in GAAP, USALI, and financial planning tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and collaboration
- CPA or MBA
