[Remote] Corporate Director of Finance

The Corporate Director of Finance is responsible for aligning financial strategies with business goals, overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing insights for sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate objectives and brand strategies
• Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all financial matters
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
• Conduct detailed financial analyses, including variance analysis and profitability assessments
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) key controls
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including accurate filing of returns
• Manage risk by maintaining adequate insurance coverage and implementing robust internal controls
• Monitor and optimize cash flow, receivables, payables, payroll, and treasury functions
• Develop and enforce policies for credit and collections to maintain financial health
• Provide leadership to ensure purchasing, ordering, and delivery processes align with company standards
• Recruit, mentor, and manage finance and accounting teams across the organization
• Conduct performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and support professional growth
• Promote cross-training and succession planning to ensure business continuity
• Build strong relationships with property owners, asset managers, and other stakeholders
• Provide clear, actionable explanations for financial performance and variance analyses
• Represent the company in financial audits and negotiations with external parties
• Leverage financial and operational performance analysis to enhance profitability and cost efficiencies
• Utilize benchmarking and market analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
• Integrate financial systems and tools to streamline reporting and decision-making processes

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in the hospitality industry, including multi-property oversight and pre-opening experience
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Expertise in GAAP, USALI, and financial planning tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and collaboration
• CPA or MBA
