[Remote] Content Strategy Consultant

The Content Strategy Consultant will work with customers to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and engaging, collaborating with various departments to gather and disseminate information effectively.
Responsibilities
- Execute content maintenance and site updates under guidance from senior team members
- Conduct stewardship reviews of content for accuracy, completeness, format, usability, SEO, and alignment with standards
- Assist business with managing and completing identified stewardship opportunities
- Coach business content owners to make content updates in alignment with standards
- Apply prescribed content methodologies and standards to assist businesses in documenting processes and creating job support materials
- Provide feedback on content performance using metrics and dashboards
- Data driven analysis and consultation to enable business performance and inform improvements to taxonomy, governance standards, quality and usage
- Skill business personnel in technical capabilities and use of knowledge systems to enable authoring
- Follow agile processes for content stewardship and site maintenance
- Work as part of a team to ensure content and skills are consistent across business units
- Provide continuous improvement feedback for processes and systems related to content onboarding, creation, maintenance, and skilling
- Conduct ongoing industry research and benchmarking to inform evolution of content governance, operating models, and AI-ready knowledge practices
- Understand and apply AI enabling concepts such as semantics, content modeling, and metadata strategy to improve content structure and findability
Skills
- 2 + years' experience in knowledge management, content management, technical writing, web design or user experience
- Mid-level knowledge of taxonomies and metadata
- Mid-level technical abilities related to system configuration
- Ability to transform complex, unfamiliar information into usable content
- Expertise in clear and concise writing
- Basic understanding of modularized content techniques and happy path writing
- Basic search optimization techniques
- Mid-level understanding of artificial intelligence and LLMs
- Mid-level SharePoint site administration experience including creation and maintenance of lists, site columns, content types, web pages and permissions
- Strong communication skills with a focus on clear and concise messaging
- Ability to analyze limited data sets to identify process and content solutions
- Above average critical thinking skills with an ability to perform independently

- Ability to learn and manage various technologies
- Collaborates well with others working on technical, business and customer teams
- 4 Yr. college degree or equivalent
- Advanced degree, certification or extensive practical experience in content design, web design or user experience
- Process management, mapping, or improvement experience
- Scaled Agile project methodology knowledge
- Mid-level understanding of modularized content techniques and happy path writing (Technical Writing)
- Advanced search optimization techniques
- Advanced knowledge of performance support system design and taxonomies
- Mid-to-to advanced level knowledge and experience with artificial intelligence capabilities for content
- Claims and Operations organizational knowledge
- Knowledge of or demonstrated experience with the following: Taxonomy / ontology management, Oracle Knowledge Advanced / IKE administration, Performance support systems design, Artificial intelligence and large language model use and integration, Performance support analytics
