[Remote] Consultant, SVP Finance

Her Campus Media is a leading Gen Z media and marketing ecosystem, and they are seeking an experienced financial leader to serve as the interim SVP, Finance & Administration during a maternity leave. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic support to the executive team.
Responsibilities
- Direct all core financial operations, including corporate budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and essential cash flow management
- Oversee and execute timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards
- Present detailed financial performance updates and strategic insights to the founders
- Continuously monitor organizational financial health and proactively identify and communicate risks, opportunities, and recommended strategic actions
- Provide leadership and hands-on support to the finance team for day-to-day operational activities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience, including roles at the VP or SVP executive level
- Proven prior experience in an interim or fractional executive leadership capacity
- Required proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Exceptional ability to operate autonomously and effectively within a demanding, fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a proven track record of consistently meeting rigorous accounting deadlines
