[Remote] Clinical Specialist - Richmond/ Raleigh-Durham
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HistoSonics, Inc. is a commercial-stage medtech company advancing the Edison® System, a novel non-invasive sonic beam therapy. The Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in supporting clinical implementation and adoption of HistoSonics technology by providing expert procedural support and collaborating with commercial teams to drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical expert during system implementation, physician onboarding, and live procedure support
- Partner with Account Managers to ensure alignment on account readiness, utilization goals, and growth opportunities
- Lead on-site execution during new site launches and technology integrations, ensuring a seamless clinical experience
- Identify and share clinical insights to enhance performance, workflow, and overall outcomes
- Support cross-functional collaboration between Clinical, Commercial, and R&D teams to advance adoption and procedural excellence
- Maintain strong professional relationships with key physicians, clinical staff, and internal stakeholders
- Drive ongoing optimization at existing sites to support procedural growth and sustainability
- Coordinate and execute successful site start-ups and procedural launches
- Provide high-quality in-person and remote procedural support
- Demonstrate deep procedural knowledge and expertise in imaging and therapy delivery
- Ensure consistent adherence to clinical and safety protocols
- Identify opportunities to expand procedural utilization and account performance
- Collaborate with sales partners to align clinical insights with strategic growth initiatives
- Serve as a trusted partner to Account Managers, jointly developing and executing site-specific action plans
- Support cross-functional alignment and communication between commercial and clinical teams
Skills
- Proven ability to drive clinical adoption and support procedural success
- Willingness to travel up to 75% (domestic), including overnights as required
- Must meet all hospital credentialing requirements (background check, drug screen, immunizations)
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, physician engagement, and procedural execution in complex healthcare environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels
- Analytical and adaptable; able to assess real-time challenges and provide effective solutions
- Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to excellence
- Working knowledge of compliance standards including HIPAA, Sunshine Act, and company interaction guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, biomedical engineering, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or interventional clinical support (imaging, ultrasound, or robotic experience preferred)
