The Chief Marketing Officer will own the brand narrative, oversee creative production, and manage all paid advertising channels to drive consumer awareness and ensure effective marketing expenditures.
Responsibilities
- Sanctuary Storytelling: Own the visual narrative for 'Rest and Reset.' Guide production of lifestyle assets (morning routines, texture close-ups, bedroom makeovers) that evoke sanctuary and comfort. Ensure all brand touchpoints feel intentional and cohesive
- Content Direction & Influencer Partnerships: Recruit and brief micro-influencers (wellness, home, lifestyle) to generate authentic, on-brand UGC. Source user-generated content without expensive upfront fees. Continuously iterate on creative hooks and messaging
- Ad Creative Optimization: Direct the design and messaging of all paid ad formats (static images, video, carousel). Continuously A/B test creative to lower Cost-Per-Click (CPC) and drive high-intent traffic. Own the feedback loop between creative team and performance data
- Multi-Channel Traffic Engine: Deploy a lean, high-intent acquisition strategy combining visual paid ads (Meta, Pinterest) with high-intent search (Google Shopping, Performance Max). Ensure brand messaging is consistent across channels
- Audience Segmentation: Build and refine audience segments based on lifestyle (wellness, home decor, premium lifestyle) and intent. Test lookalike audiences and retargeting cohorts
- Budget Allocation & Agility: Allocate paid budget across channels based on ROAS. Reallocate weekly to highest-performing channels and kill underperforming campaigns within 14 days
- Vendor Audit & Cleanup: Within your first 14 days, audit all external creative agencies, freelancers, and contractors. Ruthlessly fire underperforming or redundant vendors. Document why each vendor exists
- Rigid Performance Reviews: Hold weekly performance cadences with remaining partners. Use cash-based metrics only (CAC, ROAS, CPC). Disregard vanity metrics. Execute 30-day exit clauses for consistent underperformance
- SLA Management: Establish and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with formal warnings for missed deadlines. Ensure creative turnaround and asset quality meet standards
