[Remote] Business Development Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RedCoach is a transportation company focused on connecting cities and moving passengers efficiently. They are seeking a Business Development & Partnerships Manager to establish and strengthen partnerships with universities, corporations, and government agencies to drive growth and enhance service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Own the conversion from passive stop to active promotional partner. Partner with universities so they actively promote our routes to students — portals, newsletters, welcome kits
- Own the full cycle: identify, pitch, close, activate. Turn companies and organizations that move people regularly into recurring clients. Group travel, corporate agreements, recurring bookings
- Own our stop network expansion. Negotiate agreements with rest areas, fueling stations, airports, and other locations to improve passenger experience and coverage
- Own relationships with agencies and build our grants pipeline from zero. Connect with local, state, and federal agencies. Identify and pursue grant opportunities (FTA, DOT, state programs) — this is virgin territory for us
Skills
- Track record of building partnerships that generated measurable results — not just relationships, actual revenue or value
- Comfortable navigating both a university administrator's office and a government agency's procurement process
- Ability to work a room, follow up without being annoying, and close without being pushy
- Based in Florida or Texas (or willing to be) and don't mind being on the road regularly
- Background in transportation, education, government relations, or hospitality — any field where relationships drive the business
- English fluency required
- Spanish fluency is a meaningful advantage given who our passengers are
