[Remote] AR Accountant - Cash Application

The AR Accountant - Cash Application supports the finance team by processing customer payments, maintaining records, and addressing payment-related inquiries, making it a great opportunity for those starting their careers in finance or accounting.
Responsibilities
- Review and help process daily customer payments, including researching unapplied payments
- Assist with recording Stripe payouts in NetSuite and matching them to the correct invoices
- Support the application of bulk partner payments to customer accounts
- Help set up customer and vendor payments, including verifying banking details for ACH requests
- Process manual payments by following established procedures and guidelines
- Respond to complex customer questions about payments
- Assist with handling payment disputes
- Work with finance and sales teams to help identify and apply customer payments to open accounts
Skills
- Basic understanding of accounting or financial processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Internship or coursework related to accounting or finance
- Familiarity with tools like NetSuite, Stripe, or Salesforce is helpful but not required
- Basic Excel skills (data entry, simple formulas)
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
