[Remote] Application System Analyst II – Healthcare IT (Remote – Irving, TX)

Sigma Inc. is hiring an experienced Application System Analyst II for a 100% Remote, 3-month contract supporting a leading healthcare organization based in Irving, TX. The role involves analyzing, configuring, and optimizing healthcare applications while serving as a liaison between various stakeholders to ensure effective application support and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, configure, implement, maintain, and optimize healthcare applications
  • Serve as the liaison between business users, operational leaders, IT teams, and software vendors
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
  • Perform workflow analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis
  • Configure applications following organizational standards and change management processes
  • Support application upgrades, testing, validation, deployment, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot application issues and resolve moderate incidents independently
  • Collaborate with Service Desk teams on escalated support requests
  • Create detailed technical and end-user documentation
  • Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation
  • Participate in software implementation projects from planning through deployment
  • Coordinate software changes with vendors and infrastructure teams
  • Monitor application performance and recommend process improvements
  • Provide status updates to project stakeholders and leadership
  • Deliver training sessions and support end users
  • Mentor junior analysts and share technical knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, change control, and documentation requirements
  • Support healthcare operational workflows and recommend best practices
  • Participate in system enhancement initiatives and software release evaluations
  • Assist with cross-functional projects and continuous process improvement initiatives

Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years of Application Systems Analyst experience
  • Minimum 2+ years supporting healthcare applications or healthcare information systems
  • Experience supporting enterprise business applications
  • Experience with application implementation and optimization
  • Strong business analysis and requirements gathering experience
  • Workflow analysis and process mapping experience
  • Application testing and validation experience
  • Experience troubleshooting application issues
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Experience with change management processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical and operational teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Healthcare IT experience
  • Healthcare systems implementation experience
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems experience
  • Epic Certification or Epic Proficiency (preferred for Epic-related assignments)
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations
  • Vendor management experience

  • Experience mentoring junior analysts
  • Associated industry certifications
