[Remote] Administrative Assistant - Texas Connections Academy
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oregon Connections Academy is a Texas Online School providing virtual instruction to students in grades 3-12. The Administrative Assistant will support the High School's operations by managing communications, coordinating meetings, and assisting with clerical tasks to ensure smooth functioning.
Responsibilities
- Provide general secretarial and administrative support to the principal and the upper division leadership team
- Perform a variety of clerical duties to support daily school operations
- Routinely handle internal and external correspondence/communication with discretion and accuracy
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Distribute correspondence promptly
- Assist staff, students and parents with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain a working knowledge of school policies, events, and public information to assist faculty, staff, and families
- Prepare and submit purchase orders and vendor invoices
- Assist the Principal and upper division leadership team in coordinating interviews, scheduling applicants, tracking interview data, and preparing related reports
- Serve as a liaison between the High School teams and the Enrollment Department to ensure effective communication and coordination of enrollment processes
- Generate reports and prepare documents for school level projects
- Attend virtual and in-person department, school or district meetings as required
- All TCAH staff must be able to participate in occasional in-person activities. Travel may be required. May require occasional overnight travel
- Provide support for special projects
- Maintain a courteous, businesslike, and professional demeanor in all communications and interactions
- Foster a welcoming and responsive environment for staff and community stakeholders
- Speak with parents, students, and other school representatives and officials
- Working individually and within a team to accomplish projects and tasks
- Assisting the upper division leadership team with a wide variety of daily responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
Skills
- Associate's degree strongly preferred
- 2-4 years of working in a school or office setting required
- Proficiency with both Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Google Suite as well as web-based applications is essential
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail

- Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate outstanding presentation and interpersonal abilities, react to change productively and be able to handle tasks as assigned
