[Remote] Accounting & Financial Operations Lead
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Plant Design I/O is seeking an Accounting & Financial Operations Lead to own the day-to-day financial operations of our growing engineering and software consulting business. This role is responsible for client billing, accounts receivable, expense management, accounting administration, payroll coordination, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own the client billing process, including timesheet and expense validation
- Prepare and submit client invoices accurately and on time
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Review employee expense reports and ensure proper documentation
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations within QuickBooks
- Coordinate with ADP TotalSource and support payroll administration
- Serve as the primary liaison with the company's CPA and assist with monthly financial reporting and process improvements
Skills
- 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience
- Strong experience with billing, accounts receivable, and collections
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in engineering, consulting, staffing, or professional services
- Experience with time-and-expense billing environments
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
- Experience coordinating with external CPA firms
