[Remote] Account Manager Senior - Inside Public Sector

The Account Manager Senior will be responsible for sales account development within the SLED organization, managing customer relationships, and executing sales plans to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales within designated target markets by identifying new opportunities with prospective enterprise customers headquartered in the region
- Manage customer relationships after securing new business to:
- Strengthen strategic positioning with key decision‑makers
- Retain existing revenue
- Identify and capture additional business opportunities
- Create and execute comprehensive sales plans with clearly defined strategies, tactics, and timelines to maximize revenue growth
- Take full ownership of the assigned geographic territory, ensuring consistent coverage and proactive engagement
- Continuously expand knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and company products and solutions to enhance sales effectiveness
- Utilize Siebel and Salesforce.com to maintain accurate, detailed weekly forecast funnels of identified and proposed opportunities, ensuring alignment with sales quota requirements
Skills
- 5+ years of sales experience in a quota‑carrying role
- Proven success in solution selling across IP, data, and voice network services
- Demonstrated strength in hunting, prospecting, and new account development
- Strong communication, writing, and formal presentation abilities, with a track record of effectively selling through to close
- Highly self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven, with the ability to work independently and with minimal direction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- Experience using Salesforce.com preferred
